About Me

Hello and welcome!  If you are reading this, then chances are that you share my passion of cross stitching and I am so glad you are here! If you don’t cross stitch, just maybe I might inspire you to want to start! It’s a great stress relief and make the best personalized gifts! For me, it isn’t just a hobby, it’s an ADDICTION! LOL  However, I can think of much worse addictions to have!

My name is Fae Kuhn.  I have 3 wonderful sons, ages 7, 18, and 21.  My two oldest are both serving in the US military, one Sailor and one Marine.  They followed in the footsteps of myself and their father as we were both in the Navy.  I could not be any more proud of them.  I work as a Veterans Employment Rep where my job is to encourage employer to hire veterans. Supporting veterans and the military is definitely my #1 passion

Please see more about who I am and what I do to help make a difference using my passion of cross stitch by reading My Story.  My mission in life is to help as many people as I can in whatever way I can.  I hope that My Story and those of others I will be featuring will inspire you and that you will join us in making a difference!

Please take your time and browse around my site as there are lots of goodies and information. I make handmade customized items for cross stitching such as tote bags (that can be personalized with a favorite photo of a pet, child, grandchild..pretty much any picture you want), project bags, accessory bags, needleminders, and scissor fobs which you can find more information about under the Fae’s Crafty Creations tab.

If you are interested in any of those items, please visit and join my Facebook Group Fae’s Crafty Creations and I can help you there with any needs you may have for cross stitching accessories. If you have any questions, suggestions or concerns, please email me at fae@luvcrosstitch.com.

All the best,

Fae Kuhn

You are a true inspiration. Thank you for all you do. My oldest son is serving in the United States Air Force.

    I love your new site.

Your Facebook and Cross Stitch friend,

    1. Jeanette,

Thank you! And please tell your son I said thank you for his service! That is my next endeavor…I want to start a site that is related to what I do as a job…and that is to help veterans. My main focus being on trying to connect with veterans as they get out of the service and trying to transition into the civilian world. There is not enough help given to them there. I saw a picture the other day on a veteran website I belong to that said “We train them how to go to war, but we don’t train them how to come home.” That is the absolute truth and I hate it! Ok..off that soap box..for now..lol. But thank you for your support in this latest endeavor of mine and I look forward to bringing everyone lots of good stuff! 🙂

    1. Connie,

  6. I’m so excited to see Fae start this website to let others get to see what an awesome craft cross stitch is. It’s more that a hobby it can become much more, and the ability to meet some awesome people. thanks again Fae Kuhn. Whatever, help you need just say the word.

  7. Great website Fae. I look forward to following you on this site. I think cross stitch is a wonderful addiction.

  8. Great site Fae. Just one question, will you be posting to Europe and if so have you any idea of how much postage may be and will we have to pay tax on the items? I know that if HAED designs post it can be quite expensive tax wise here in Europe.

    1. Jennifer,

Yes, I can post to Europe and because my stuff is not very heavy, I can do it pretty reasonably priced. I will send you a message regarding the question about tax.

    1. Thanks Anne! I have more stories in the works. Some are feature stories on different designers and vendors I have had the pleasure of running across or meeting in person at the retreats I host.
Some will be on members of the Cross Stitch Club group too. I love to write so this is fun to write and entertain with the writing. It’s a lot of work, but it’s so worth it! 🙂

  9. You might want to add a “home” option to the right and left side menus. I was at the bottom of the page and had to scroll all the way to the top to go home.i think this would make it easier to navigate.

  10. I’m so glad to be part of this. I love cross stitch and have seen so much beautiful work. I’ve learned some tricks of the trade that have been helpful as I keep learning. Thank you so much Fae.

  11. Jillian,

Thanks! Glad you like it. I am still working on getting all the retreats put onto the calendar. But it is nice to be able to take a look at a calendar and see at a quick glance what is happening when 🙂 Stay tuned and visit often for more great stuff! And if you have any other ideas of something I can incorporate here, please let me know! 🙂

  12. What a lovely site! Congratulations Fae, time for me to start shopping. 🙂
Looking forward to the 2018 & 2019 retreats.

  13. Your website is well organized and easy to navigate. I enjoyed reading about “Stitching for a Cause”. Love this relaxing hobby!

    1. Kathy,

Thank you! I am glad you like it! It can be so much more than just a hobby..at least for me it is 🙂 Cross stitch is my life! lol
